The Unit Recruiter is responsible for full lifecycle of recruiting for all unit hourly union personnel to include; sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding. The Unit Recruiter must have proven experience interviewing & selection in high volume work environments.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$58,000 to $63,000

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Solely responsible for evaluating applicant qualifications; interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; and comparing qualifications to job requirements. Responsible for making independent hiring decisions for all unit hourly union personnel. Responsible for completing pre-employment administrative tasks following local, state and federal requirements Collaborates with leadership on labor forecasting and reports progress regularly Builds and manages external partner relationships to include; colleges, local affinity organizations and social medias Collaborates with HR and Operations to understand job descriptions and corresponding qualifications required of job candidates. Collaborates with HR and Operations to coach managers on compliance; recommending new procedures; conducting training. Maintains applicant and position data using Gate Gourmet resources and tools Ensures that weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor degree from a four year college or university

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in high volume recruiting environments

  • Experience in transportation, hospitality, manufacturing or food service environment highly desirable

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

  • Ability to work in fast paced, high volume environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment law

  • Position requires experience and skills in:

    • Interviewing

    • Phone communication

    • Business partnering

    • Relationship building

    • Analysis

    • Time management

    • Prioritizing multiple projects/tasks

  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, and be highly organized, action oriented and collaborative

  • Multi-lingual skills highly desirable

  • Must have strong computer and database application skills (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • PHR is a plus

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; must also be good listener
